Here's a story we captured for @roadbossmagazine in the remote North Queensland town of Weipa. It follows Heart of Australia on an epic multi-day barge voyage around Cape York Peninsula and it’s 26-metre, state-of-the-art medical clinic on wheels, HEART 5, while it performs its life saving medical procedures.

NEW WORK: What an epic adventure it was shooting this editorial work for @roadbossmagazine and the @heartofaust Heart5 truck in remote Weipa gulf country.

The Heart5 medical truck, is a world first. Being the only truck with a battery powered CT scanner on board, it provides life saving medical procedures for people in far flung communities.

It was a pleasure and privilege to work with the ROADBOSS team, documenting the operations and ‘Indiana Jones-like’ quest of transporting this one of a kind vehicle, by barge, from Cairns around the Cape to Weipa.

It was a priveledge to hit the open ocean with 'Uncle' Lloyd in his trusty old tinnie and pull in these three massive mackerel, literally by hand. No rods, no computerised fish finder no gps just a lifetime of experience in these waters, a bamboo pole, two bike inner tubes attached to two lines with two metal lures. Within an hour we were heading back with a full esky. 👌🏽
